Paint dot jpg was a self directed body of work I made shortly after relocating from New York. Just after the 2016 election we moved from Brooklyn, New York to Savannah, Georgia and I was living in a house without a studio. The rental did have an office and I began another digital project. Like all of my work, I make up a bunch of rules, parameters for the work, and then let the work unfold, almost directing itself. In this instance I began by making a digital painting from an image I found on deviantart.com. The resulting image was then loaded to into google image search and the next image was selected from those search results, painted and loaded to google again. Eventually this system lead to a breakdown where no useful images were produced. I'm not sure if I was just tired and lacked the creativity to move the project forward or if it's evidence of some kind of image entropy. Fatigue or death, I stopped after making 84 images.
